Our company in Sherwood, SK needs Class 1 and Class 5 drivers for freight runs. The job covers loading, securing and unloading shipments, basic upkeep of the truck, and solid recordkeeping, with both solo and team driving involved.
Pay
- $24.00-$26.00 per hour
What you'll do
- Handle loading, strapping down and unloading of different freight, including loose freight and furniture that needs pad wrapping
- Take care of minor upkeep tasks on the truck
- Fill out delivery records, both electronic and paper bills of lading
- Keep track of what's loaded on your trailer
- Step in to cover runs across various AMJ departments as needed
Requirements
- Full, valid Class 1 or Class 5 license
- At least 2 years behind the wheel of a 5 tonne commercial truck
- A minimum of 2 years handling winter road conditions
- A commercial driving abstract free of issues
- Must clear a background check with police
- Capable of lifting 75 lbs
- Strong English reading and writing skills
- Comfortable reversing the truck safely on your own, no spotter needed
- Open to working any day, any hour, around the clock
