Class 1 City P&D Driver — Home Every Night, $28.00/hr

Our company, now part of GLS Canada, needs a Class 1 City Driver for pickup and delivery of general freight around Lloydminster and the surrounding area. You'll work Monday to Friday, 7am to 4:00pm, and be home every night.

What you'll haul

• General freight using vans or deck trucks for city pickup and delivery

• Pallet jack loading and unloading, with some manual and heavy lifting

• Dock assistance when needed

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 licence

• Current driving abstract with no more than 4 demerits

• 2 years of city pickup and delivery experience

• Clean criminal record

• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing (safety-sensitive role)

• Applicants on an active temporary work permit may apply, but must show passport and Social Insurance Number at the interview

• Local candidates preferred; no relocation assistance offered, and this role does not qualify under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program or Rural Stream

You'll also handle pre-trip and post-trip inspections, basic maintenance checks, load securement, accurate driver logs, and communication with dispatch via PDA or phone, all while following National Safety Code, highway, and dangerous goods regulations.
