Class 1 City P&D Driver — $32–$34/hr

Our company, now part of GLS Canada, needs a Class 1 driver for city pickup and delivery of small parcels and freight in Grande Prairie and nearby areas. You will drive a 5 tonne truck on customer-facing day routes.

Pay

• $32.00 to $34.00 per hour, full-time

• Overtime when needed

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, days

• Some Saturdays on an alternating basis

What you'll haul and do

• Move items like animal feed, industrial equipment, chemicals, drilling supplies and dry food to customers within or just outside city limits

• Use a power tailgate and pallet jack, help load and unload, and occasionally do dock or yard work

• Do pre-trip checks and minor upkeep, fill out BOLs and probills, and scan stops on the PDA

• Strap or chain loads, hook and unhook trailers, and keep logs

• Follow National Safety Code, provincial traffic rules and TDG regulations

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license

• Abstract showing 4 demerits or fewer

• 2 years of city driving experience and solid knowledge of the Grande Prairie area

• Clean criminal record and English

• Local candidates preferred; no relocation help, and the role does not qualify for an LMO

• Temporary work permit holders may apply and must show passport and SIN at interview
