About this job
Our company, a family-owned carrier serving Western Canada for over 74 years, needs a Class 1 City Driver in New Westminster, BC. You'll run local LTL and full-load deliveries and pickups, with home time every day.
Pay
- Starting from $27.00 per hour, based on experience
Home time
- You're home daily since this role covers local routes only
What you'll haul
- LTL and full loads, delivered and picked up around New Westminster and nearby areas
Schedule
- Full-time, permanent position
- Works Tuesday through Saturday
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 licence (or equivalent provincial licence)
- Clean driver's abstract with no recent major violations
- At least 2 years of commercial city/local driving experience
- Able to complete NSC-style pre-trip and post-trip inspections and basic vehicle checks
- Knowledge of load securement rules and hours-of-service regulations
- Comfortable using a tablet for logs, dispatch and communication
- Able to operate an electric pallet jack and manage the physical work of loading and unloading
- Reliable, punctual and a clear communicator
