About this job
Our company is looking for a Class 1 driver to work casual, on-call shifts out of the Winnipeg West location. You'll haul new and used equipment, parts and supplies between customers, branches and dealer facilities, mostly within Manitoba with occasional runs into Saskatchewan.
What you'll haul
- New and used agricultural equipment, parts and supplies
- Heavy and wide loads, including over-dimension freight on flat decks and tractor trailers
- Whole goods that need to be driven on and off trailers
What you'll do
- Load, unload, block and secure equipment for safe transport
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any mechanical or safety concerns
- Use a spotter, manage center of gravity, level loads, and tie down or block dimensional freight
- Operate a forklift from time to time
- Keep accurate pickup and delivery records
- Follow Manitoba highway regulations and company safety policies
- Represent the company professionally with strong customer service
Requirements
- Valid Manitoba Class 1 license with a clean abstract
- At least 3 years of driving experience in all weather conditions
- Comfortable operating flat decks, tractor trailers and over-dimension loads
- Able to drive agricultural equipment on and off trailers
- Knowledge of Manitoba highway rules
- Forklift license required, but training is provided in-house if you don't already have one
