About this job
Our company, an excavation company based in the Calgary area, needs a full-time Tandem Dump Truck Driver to move construction materials to and from active work sites. This is steady site-based work hauling for an established contractor.
Pay
- Starting at $26.00 per hour, depending on your experience
What you'll haul
- Materials like soil, gravel, aggregate and demolition debris
- Runs between job sites, suppliers and disposal locations in the Calgary area
What the job involves
- Safely positioning and maneuvering your truck on both residential and commercial build sites
- Doing pre-trip and post-trip checks every day and keeping up with the required logs
- Keeping your rig clean and roadworthy
- Working on your own while staying coordinated with supervisors and crew members
- Pitching in on other site tasks when needed
Requirements
- Current Class 1 or Class 3 licence with a clean abstract
- Minimum 2 years running a tandem dump truck
- Background working on construction sites
- Current First Aid certificate
- Good spoken English
- Your own way to get to work
- Able to lift or move up to 50 lbs and get in and out of the truck cab without issue
- Must clear pre-access drug and alcohol screening and meet client site entry rules
