About this job
Our company in Romulus, MI is looking for a full-time CDL truck driver for day shift work. You'll haul freight by tractor-trailer, handling loading, unloading and customer interactions along the way.
Pay
- $1,200.00 per week
What you'll do
- Drive a tractor-trailer on scheduled routes, planning your path to hit delivery windows
- Load and unload freight with pallet jacks or forklifts, handling goods carefully
- Check your truck before and after trips and keep up with basic maintenance checks
- Keep accurate trip and delivery records
- Talk with customers professionally and resolve any questions or issues they raise
- Help with cargo handling tasks whenever needed during stops
Requirements
- Valid CDL
- Experience driving commercially, with a good grasp of safety rules and regulations
- Comfortable using pallet jacks and forklifts (preferred, not required)
- Good communication skills for working with customers and teammates
- Able to lift heavy items and handle the physical demands of freight handling
- Dependable, on time, and detail-oriented
