About this job
Our company, a major building materials supplier with hundreds of locations across North America, is hiring a CDL Tanker Driver in Durham, NC to haul materials to customers and company sites.
Pay
- Average weekly earnings of $1,300
- Guaranteed minimum of $1,000 per week
What you'll haul
- Tanker loads delivered to customer and company locations
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and daily inspections on your tanker rig
- Load, unload, and deliver product while following safety and environmental rules
- Keep accurate delivery paperwork and stay in touch with dispatch and customers
- Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver's License
- Comfortable and safe handling of tanker equipment in varying conditions
- Solid grasp of DOT rules, inspections, and safety practices
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and handle the physical demands of the job
- Must pass a post-offer physical, drug and alcohol screen, and background check; some roles involve ongoing FMCSA testing
