About this job
Our company is looking for a tanker driver to deliver fuel oil, gasoline and LP gas to customers in the Pennsboro, WV area, running a bulk delivery route in a safe and efficient manner.
What you'll do
- Position and load your tank truck at the filling rack, opening valves or starting pumps to fill it
- Complete pre and post trip inspections to confirm the truck is safe to drive
- Read gauges or meters to log how much product you load, then record delivery amounts and hand customers their ticket
- Handle daily upkeep of the bulk plant and basic truck care like washing
- Fill out paperwork such as shipping papers and hours of duty logs
- Apply your knowledge of DOT rules for commercial vehicles, hazmat transport and emergency response
- Take on other related tasks as assigned
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
- Able to lift or carry up to 75 lbs
- Able to climb as high as 15 ft
