CDL Semi Truck Driver — Local and OTR, $1,800–$3,600/Week

Our company in Miami, FL is looking for an experienced semi truck driver for both local and over-the-road runs. You'll haul a mix of freight types and keep deliveries on schedule while following safety rules.

Pay

• $1,800.00 to $3,600.00 per week

What you'll haul

• Tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers and refrigerated trailers

• Hazmat and other regulated materials, following FMCSA and Hazardous Materials Regulations

• Loads that may require manual loading and unloading and proper securement

What the job involves

• Running both local and OTR routes

• Using GPS to plan routes for on-time delivery and fuel efficiency

• Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to catch mechanical or safety problems

• Logging driving hours and delivery paperwork per DOT rules

• Staying in touch with dispatch about route status, delays or problems on the road

Requirements

• Proven experience driving semi-trucks or tractor-trailers, including delivery and route work

• Valid CDL matching the vehicle you'll drive; manual transmission experience preferred

• Solid understanding of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat safety rules

• Comfortable with manual cargo handling and securing loads

• Strong GPS-based route planning skills for OTR driving

• Clean driving record with a strong safety focus

• Physically able to load, unload and secure freight

• Willing to spend long hours on the road across different routes
