About this job
Our company in Yakima, WA is hiring a full-time commercial driver to run an 18-wheeler semi truck and deliver goods safely and on schedule. A TWIC card is required.
Pay
- $72,000 to $80,000 per year
What you'll do
- Drive the semi truck on assigned delivery routes
- Inspect the truck before and after each trip for safety and compliance
- Record mileage, fuel use and delivery times accurately
- Follow traffic laws and keep dispatch informed about delays or route changes
- Keep the cab and truck clean and tidy
What we're looking for
- A TWIC card
- Solid truck driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers and other commercial vehicles
- Delivery driving background is a plus
- Good knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns
- Attention to detail with logs and paperwork
