CDL Regional/Local Truck Driver — $1,000–$2,000/Week

Our company in Chesapeake, VA is looking for a dependable regional/local driver to haul freight on assigned routes, including port work. This is a 1099 contract position.

Pay

• $1,000.00 to $2,000.00 per week

What you'll haul

• Tractor-trailer loads moving through port areas and on public roads

• Port experience is a plus but not required

What you'll do

• Run your assigned routes while following traffic laws and safety rules

• Keep accurate logs and shipment paperwork

• Do pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your truck

• Stay in touch with dispatch about delivery timing and any issues that come up

• Follow local, state and federal transportation rules

Requirements

• Valid CDL with a clean driving record

• Valid TWIC card

• Able to pass a drug screening

• Good communication skills

• Comfortable working independently

• Able to commute to Chesapeake, VA 23321
