About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL truck driver to run over-the-road freight across multiple states. You'll handle different trailer types and keep deliveries on schedule while following safety and compliance rules.
Pay
- $700.00 - $1,800.00 per week
What you'll haul
- Tractor-trailers, with manual or automatic transmissions
- Refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers
- Hazmat and other dangerous goods shipments when assigned
- Freight that may require manual loading/unloading or forklift use
What the job involves
- Running long-distance, multi-state OTR routes and hitting scheduled delivery times
- Securing cargo properly for transport
- Using GPS tools to plan routes and avoid delays
- Keeping accurate logs of hours, inspections, and delivery paperwork per FMCSA rules
- Staying in contact with dispatch to coordinate pickups, drop-offs, and any schedule changes
Requirements
- Valid CDL with a clean driving record
- Solid experience driving commercial trucks and handling freight deliveries
- Comfortable operating manual transmission trucks
- Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or auto transport is a plus
- Knowledge of loading/unloading procedures and cargo handling
- Understanding of DOT hours-of-service and safety rules
- Hazmat certification or experience is a plus
- Strong GPS navigation and route-planning skills
