CDL OTR Truck Driver — $1,000–$5,000/Week

Our company in Chicago, IL needs an over-the-road truck driver to haul freight safely and on time across multiple routes. You'll work with different trailer types and handle freight that may include hazardous materials.

Pay

• $1,000.00 to $5,000.00 per week

What you'll haul

• Freight across long-distance OTR routes, with trailers that may include refrigerated units, flatbeds and tankers

• Loads may include hazardous or regulated materials, requiring proper documentation and handling

What you'll do

• Plan and run your routes using GPS, staying on schedule

• Load and unload cargo yourself, securing it properly for transport

• Run pre-trip, en-route and post-trip vehicle checks, and report any mechanical issues right away

• Keep your logs, delivery receipts and compliance paperwork accurate and up to date

• Follow FMCSA, DOT and hazmat rules at all times

Requirements

• Valid CDL with a clean driving history

• Solid background in commercial truck driving, including delivery and route work

• Comfortable with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers or auto-hauling equipment (preferred, not required)

• Understanding of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat regulations, plus safe loading and unloading practices

• Manual transmission experience is a plus

• Capable of handling freight by hand and operating loading equipment safely

• Strong GPS navigation skills

• Comfortable working solo on extended OTR trips
