CDL Dump Truck Driver — $25–$26/hr

Our company in Chester, VA is looking for a dump truck driver to haul construction materials and debris to and from job sites. You'll be responsible for safe, timely runs while keeping up with all required paperwork and inspections.

Pay

• $25.00 - $26.00 per hour

What you'll haul

• Construction materials, debris and related freight to job sites and other delivery points

• Loading and unloading cargo by hand or with truck equipment, making sure everything is secured for the road

What you'll do

• Drive safely in line with FMCSA and DOT rules

• Plan efficient routes using GPS for both local runs and longer hauls

• Handle hazmat loads correctly when assigned, including the required paperwork and safety steps

• Keep accurate records of hours driven, loads carried, deliveries made and inspections performed

• Check your truck before and after each trip, catching mechanical problems early and handling basic maintenance

• Stay in touch with dispatch, site managers and clients to keep deliveries on schedule and flag any issues

Requirements

• Solid background driving commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers or similar heavy equipment

• Valid CDL; endorsements for hazmat, tanker, flatbed or refrigerated trailers are a plus

• Working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT rules, hazmat regulations and general safety practices

• Comfortable using GPS systems and handling cargo logistics for route planning

• Able to load and unload freight by hand; experience with loading equipment is a bonus

• Clean driving record; manual transmission experience is a plus

• Clear communicator who can coordinate with dispatch and report problems accurately
