CDL Driver & Crane Operator — Home Daily, 200-Mile Radius

SRS Building Products in Saint Joseph, MI is looking for a CDL driver who can also run cranes and forklifts to get building materials to job sites safely and on time. You'll handle the truck, the crane work, and the paperwork that goes with each delivery, all within a 200-mile radius and home every night.

What you'll do

• Haul building materials to job sites within a 200-mile radius, staying within DOT rules and company policy

• Run pre-trip and post-trip checks, operate cranes and forklifts, and work with rooftop loaders so loads arrive accurate and undamaged

• Check inventory, photograph completed deliveries, and flag any safety concerns at the job site

• Handle customer interactions on-site and pitch in on warehouse and yard upkeep

Home time

You're based in the field but back home every day - no overnight trips.

What the job demands

• Regular lifting up to 100 pounds, often outdoors in all kinds of weather

• Comfort operating commercial trucks and cranes, climbing ladders, working at heights, and working in tight spaces

• Tolerance for loud noise and a fast-paced, hands-on routine

Requirements

• Valid CDL with an air brakes endorsement

• Able to perform routine vehicle maintenance and safety inspections, with a working knowledge of basic mechanical systems

• Experience running conveyor belts, knuckle booms, or crane-mounted trucks

• Forklift experience (certification is a plus)

• Familiar with DOT and OSHA rules

• Comfortable reading, writing, and speaking English

• Comfortable inspecting job sites and reporting on conditions

• Clean driving history - no hit-and-run, DWI, or DUI in the last 36 months

• Must pass a background check and drug screen

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Current DOT medical card

• NCCCO Crane Certification (ABC/ABL) required

Nice to have

• Hands-on professional crane experience

• Solid time and route planning skills

• Experience with boom cranes, piggyback forklifts, and conveyor systems

• Forklift certification

• Strong grasp of DOT/OSHA standards

• Truck Crane, Telescopic Boom - Fixed Cab, Boom Truck - Fixed Cab, or Articulating Boom Crane certifications
