About this job
Our company is looking for a Box Truck Driver to handle freight pickups and deliveries on assigned routes. You'll drive a manual transmission box truck, handle loading and unloading, and keep accurate paperwork along the way.
Pay
- Starts from $1,400.00 per week
What you'll do
- Drive a manual transmission box truck to pick up and drop off freight on your route
- Load and unload cargo, using a forklift or roll-off equipment when needed
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections for safety and compliance
- Keep delivery logs and route records updated through your shift
- Stay in contact with dispatch and customers to coordinate stops and sort out any problems
- Help secure loads on flatbed or refrigerated trailers for specialized shipments when required
Requirements
- Valid CDL with endorsements matching the equipment you'll run (such as tanker or flatbed)
- Experience driving commercial vehicles - box trucks, tractor-trailers, dump trucks or refrigerated trailers
- Comfortable with manual transmission trucks; hands-on experience strongly preferred
- Background in route driving, freight handling, and load/unload work
- Forklift or loading equipment experience is a plus
- Familiarity with safety practices for tanker, flatbed, or roll-off equipment is a plus
