About this job
Corrigan Oil in Battle Creek, MI is looking for a full-time Tank Wagon Driver to haul and deliver petroleum-based products in a straight truck rated at least 26,000 GVW. You'll work nights, reporting to the Driver Manager.
Schedule
- Night shift, 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday, plus every other Friday.
- Shifts can run up to 12 hours or more, including holidays, within hours-of-service limits.
What you'll haul
- Fuel pickups and deliveries to assigned drop locations.
- You'll confirm each load matches the correct product and quantity per dispatch paperwork before delivering.
- Loading happens at designated truck racks using fuel arms and hoses.
Requirements
- Valid CDL-B with Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brakes endorsements.
- 3+ years of truck driving experience and 1+ years running equipment preferred.
- Must pass a DOT physical, drug screen, Clearinghouse check, and a 7-year criminal background check.
- Comfortable with manual transmission trucks and able to push/pull up to 146 pounds, lift up to 50 pounds, and climb ladders with at least three rungs.
- Able to handle pre- and post-trip inspections, dispatch software, ELDs, and paperwork like Bills of Lading, inventory, and fuel tickets.
- Willing to work in varied conditions: weather extremes, tight city driving, noise, dust, and low-light settings.
