CDL-B Local Delivery Driver — $22/hr + $1,000 Sign-On Bonus

Our company in Independence, OH is looking for a full-time CDL-B driver to deliver building materials like drywall, insulation, framing and ceiling systems to job sites and construction sites within 100 miles of the branch. You'll handle the truck and also help load, unload and carry materials at delivery stops.

Pay

• Starts at $22.00 per hour, paid hourly with overtime eligibility

• $1,000 bonus for signing on

• Monthly performance bonus that can add up to $2.25 per hour on top of your base rate

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM

• Full-time, local routes only

What you'll haul

• Specialty building products such as drywall, insulation, metal studs and framing, acoustical ceiling systems, and commercial doors and hardware

• Deliveries go to customer job sites and commercial construction sites within a 100-mile radius of the branch

• You'll do a pre-trip inspection, check the load, secure materials, and handle loading/unloading by hand, cart, forklift or crane

• Expect to lift up to 50 pounds on your own, with help or equipment for anything heavier

• After each run you'll complete paperwork, get customer signatures, and prep the truck for the next load

Requirements

• CDL, Class B preferred (temporary CDL holders can apply)

• High school diploma or GED

• Clean driving record that meets insurability standards

• Valid DOT medical card, or the ability to get one

• Understanding of load limits, truck safety rules and basic vehicle upkeep

• Background in building materials, construction or distribution is a plus, as is familiarity with drywall, insulation, framing, doors and hardware

• 2 years of CDL driving experience preferred

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather, on uneven ground, and around active construction equipment and traffic

• Able to stand, bend, climb, kneel and move repeatedly throughout the shift while handling materials
