About this job
Our company needs a CDL-B driver to cover Chicago-area routes out of Montgomery, IL. You'll run a straight truck or tractor trailer on local, regional, and overnight hauls, bringing food and related products to customers.
Pay
- Guaranteed minimum of $309.14 per day
- Drivers can earn $80,000 or more annually
Schedule
- Works Tuesday to Saturday
- Dispatch falls between 3am and 5am
What you'll do
- Check over your truck and trailer before and after runs, following DOT requirements
- Load freight, secure it properly, and match it against customer invoices
- Run your route and get orders delivered on time
- Unload goods and carry them into customers' storage spaces
- Collect signatures and payment where needed
- Process returns and fill out the necessary forms
- Maintain correct hours-of-service records
Requirements
- Current Class B CDL
- Minimum of 12 months behind the wheel commercially
- 21 years of age or older
- No major violations on your driving record for the past 3 years
- Must clear a drug screen, background check, and road test after an offer is made
- Current DOT medical card, or able to get one
- Capable of lifting and moving items from about 10 to 90 pounds, using equipment like a hand truck and lift gate
