CDL-B Box Truck Driver — $24.00–$34.75/hr

Our company is looking for a CDL-B box truck driver in Fairbanks, AK to pick up and deliver general and specialty freight, including hazardous materials, around the local area. You'll handle loading, documentation and vehicle inspections while keeping everything compliant with safety rules.

Pay

• $24.00 - $34.75 an hour, plus a $5.00 location differential, based on experience and qualifications

What you'll haul

• General and special freight in liquid, solid, loose or packaged form, including hazardous materials

Responsibilities

• Pick up and drop off customer freight using a box truck

• Complete pre-trip, mid-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues right away

• Load and unload cargo, and label, count and secure it properly

• Keep accurate electronic logs for hours of service and maintenance

• Communicate with dispatch and handle pickup paperwork

• Handle minor roadside fixes like tire changes or tire chains when needed

• Provide inside delivery and white-glove service at some customer stops

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old

• High school diploma or GED

• CDL Class B

• Hazmat certification required within 90 days of hire

• 1-2 years of driving experience preferred

• Forklift certification required (experience with lift gates and pallet jacks a plus)

• Comfortable driving in snow, ice and winter weather, including chaining up
