CDL-B Box Truck Driver — $24.00–$34.75/hr

Our company is hiring a CDL-B box truck driver in Fairbanks, AK to handle pickup and delivery of general and specialized freight, including hazardous materials.

Pay

• Hourly rate of $24.00 - $34.75, which includes a $5.00 location differential and depends on your experience and qualifications

What you'll haul

• General and special freight in liquid, solid, loose, or packaged form, including hazmat loads

Responsibilities

• Run pre-trip, mid-trip, and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues right away

• Load, unload, and secure freight according to local, state, and federal rules

• Handle pickup paperwork and stay in touch with the dispatcher

• Package and ship materials following DOT and hazardous materials rules

• Keep accurate e-logs and maintenance records

• Handle minor roadside fixes like tire changes or chaining up in winter conditions

• Occasionally provide white-glove inside delivery service

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old

• High school diploma or GED

• CDL Class B required

• Must obtain hazmat certification within 90 days of hire and keep it current

• 1-2 years of driving experience preferred

• Comfortable driving in snow, ice, and severe weather, including chaining up

• Forklift certification required (training provided if needed)

• Experience with lift gates, forklifts, and pallet jacks is a plus
