About this job
Our company is hiring a Local Yard Driver in Buckner, KY to shuttle trailers within a single yard location, no over-the-road driving involved. You'll be home every day with a steady, predictable schedule.
Pay
- $23 to $25 per hour ($23 base plus $2 shift differential)
- Overtime after 40 hours
- Weekly pay
- Referral bonus up to $2,000 for each hire retained
Home time
- Home daily
- Day and night shifts available
What you'll do
- Move trailers to and from designated spots within the yard
- No customer deliveries, no multi-stop routes, no touch freight
- Perform routine vehicle inspections
- Keep accurate logs of hours and any incidents
- Follow all safety and DOT regulations
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Proven experience driving Class A with a clean MVR
- Current DOT physical and medical card
- Able to work in varying weather and handle long hours
- Able to get in and out of the truck repeatedly through the shift
