About this job
Our company Utility Services needs a CDL-A truck driver to move equipment and materials for its power line crews in the Manassas Park, VA area. You'll work alongside Linemen on job sites, keeping the work zone stocked and safe.
What you'll do
- Transport equipment and materials between job sites and pole locations
- Handle groundwork duties, getting materials ready for the Linemen
- Set up safe work zones using cones, signs and similar equipment
- Help train incoming drivers
Requirements
- CDL Class A license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Clean driving record
- Military clearance is a strong plus
- 2+ years of relevant driving experience preferred
This is outdoor field work. Expect regular bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 pounds, often in tough weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, ice, wind). You'll need good distance vision, hand-eye coordination and color recognition.
