CDL-A Truck Driver Trainer — $0.45–$0.63/mi Plus Student Bonuses

Our company is looking for experienced CDL-A drivers to mentor and train new drivers out on the road. You'll be paid for both your own miles and your student's miles, plus extra weekly pay while a student is riding with you, and you can earn bonus matches when your trainees hit their own safety and production bonuses in their first year.

Pay

• $0.45 - $0.63 per mile

• Average top trainers earn around $77,400 a year or about $1,450 a week

• Extra $200 a week whenever a student is on your truck, on top of mileage pay

• Bonus match on your graduates' production and safety bonuses earned in their first 12 months

Requirements

• At least 21 years old with a valid Class A license

• 6 months of Class A experience in the last year, or 1 year within the last 5 years

• No more than 1 preventable accident in the past 2 years and no major accident in 5 years

• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years

• Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screening

• At least 30 days working at Knight already

• A minimum of 60,000 solo miles and one winter season of OTR driving

• Willing to run at least 2 weeks at a stretch

• No more than 1 moving violation in the last year and no more than 1 preventable incident
