CDL-A Truck Driver — Home Every Weekend, $2,200 Sign-On

Pratt Logistics in Henderson, KY needs a Class A CDL driver for steady freight runs with your weekends off. You'll run a 53' dry van, mostly drop and hook, on late-model trucks.

Pay

• $24/hr or $0.60 per mile, depending on trip length

• $2,200 sign-on bonus

• $1,000 bonus for referring another driver

What you'll haul

• 53' dry van freight, roughly 80% drop and hook

• Consistent freight on assigned routes with modern, late-model equipment

What the job involves

• Operating a Class A tractor-trailer safely on your assigned routes

• Getting freight delivered on time

• Doing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks

• Keeping DOT paperwork and delivery records up to date

• Staying in contact with dispatch and customers

• Following all DOT, FMCSA and company safety rules

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with no airbrake restriction, issued by your state of permanent residence

• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience (note: other parts of this posting call for 3 years, or 12 months/150,000 miles, of verifiable CMV experience)

• Able to read, write, speak and understand English clearly

• Clean driving record that meets DOT standards, including:

• 7-year MVR submitted with your application

• Complete 10-year work, unemployment, self-employment and education history, with the last 3 years verifiable

• No reckless driving in the past 10 years

• No license suspension in the past 10 years

• No moving violations in the past 3 years, and no more than one in the past 5

• No at-fault accidents in the past 5 years

• No more than two moving or non-moving violations in a 5-year span

• No failed or refused drug or alcohol tests

• No felony convictions within 10 years of completing restitution (older cases reviewed individually); misdemeanors reviewed case by case

• No crimes against another person, of any kind

• No DWI, DUI, BAC or open container convictions in the past 10 years

• Must pass a DOT physical and drug screen at an approved facility

• Valid Social Security card

• Neat, professional appearance

• Must pass a road test with Corrugated Logistics
