CDL-A Truck Driver — Home Daily, Starting at $36.30/hr

Our company is looking for a CDL-A truck driver in Uhrichsville, OH to run tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples, with home time every day.

Pay

• Experienced drivers can start at $36.30 per hour

• Classified as a Motor Carrier Act Exempt position

• $1,000 sign-on bonus available; repay 100% if you leave before 12 months, or 50% if you leave between 12 and 24 months. Paid after your first 30 days of continuous work

• $1,000 retention bonus after 6 months of continuous employment in the role

Home time

• You'll be home every day

Schedule

• Shifts can run 12 to 14 hours and may fall on days, nights or weekends, so flexibility is needed

• Driving time is limited to 11 consecutive hours behind the wheel per DOT rules

What you'll haul and do

• Operate a tractor-trailer, including doubles and triples, hauling hazardous and non-hazardous materials in all weather

• Load and unload freight

• Interact with customers and help generate sales leads

Requirements

• Must be 21 or older

• Valid Class A CDL

• Clean driving record

• Must have, or be willing to get within 90 days of hire, hazmat, tanker and doubles/triples endorsements

• Pass a DOT drug screen with no positive results or refusals in the past 3 years

• Hold a current DOT medical card or pass a company-paid DOT physical

• Able to read and speak English well enough to talk with the public, understand road signs, answer official questions and fill out reports, per DOT rules

• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs regularly (and over 75 lbs at times), moving a converter dolly weighing around 128 lbs, climbing in and out of the cab, sitting or standing for long stretches, working outdoors in all conditions, and bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, squatting and kneeling as needed

• Forklift experience and existing hazmat, tanker and doubles/triples endorsements are a plus
