CDL-A Truck Driver — Home Daily, Starting $37.18/hr

Our company is hiring a CDL-A truck driver in Nashville, TN to run tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples, on a home-daily schedule. You'll handle freight, interact with customers, and work flexible shifts across days, nights and weekends.

Pay

• Experienced drivers can start at $37.18/hour

• Classified as a Motor Carrier Act Exempt position

Home time

• You return home every day

What you'll do

• Drive a tractor-trailer, including doubles and triples, for up to 11 consecutive hours in all kinds of weather

• Load and unload freight

• Build relationships with customers and help generate sales leads

• Climb in and out of the cab/trailer, and operate a forklift when needed

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Valid Class A commercial driver's license

• Clean driving history

• Hazmat, tank vehicle and doubles/triples endorsements, or willingness to get them within 90 days of starting

• Pass a DOT drug screen with no positive results or refusals in the past 3 years

• Valid DOT Medical Certification Card, or ability to pass a company-paid DOT physical

• Able to work flexible 12-14 hour shifts, including nights and weekends

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and over 75 lbs occasionally, move a converter dolly (about 128 lbs of pull force), and handle extended sitting, standing, walking and climbing, including outdoors in bad weather

• Sufficient English skills to communicate with the public, read road signs, and complete reports as required by the Department of Labor

Preferred: forklift experience, and already holding hazmat, tank vehicle and doubles/triples endorsements.
