CDL-A Truck Driver — Home Daily, Starting $36.30/hr

Our company is looking for a CDL-A truck driver in Salt Lake City, UT to run tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples, on a night shift schedule. You'll be home every day.

Pay and schedule

• Experienced drivers can start at $36.30/hour

• Shift is nights, with flexible hours that can run 12-14 hours a day, covering days, nights and weekends

• You'll be home daily

• This role is classified as Motor Carrier Act Exempt

What you'll do

• Drive a tractor-trailer, including doubles and triples configurations

• Load and unload freight

• Deliver good customer service and help generate sales leads

• Operate for up to 11 consecutive hours at a stretch, hauling hazardous and non-hazardous materials in all kinds of weather

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Valid Class A CDL

• Clean driving history

• Willing to get hazmat, tank vehicle and doubles/triples endorsements within 90 days if you don't already have them

• Able to pass a DOT drug screen, with no positive tests or refusals in the past 3 years

• Valid DOT Medical Certification Card, or able to pass a company-paid DOT physical

• Must be able to read and speak English well enough to talk with the public, understand road signs, respond to official requests and fill out reports, per DOT rules

• Forklift experience and existing hazmat/tank/doubles-triples endorsements are a plus

Physical demands

• Regularly lifting up to 50 lbs, sometimes more than 75 lbs, and moving a converter dolly weighing around 128 lbs

• Climbing in and out of the cab and trailer

• Long periods sitting while driving or operating a forklift

• Extended standing and walking, sometimes on uneven or slick ground, including outdoors in bad weather

• Reaching overhead, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting and kneeling
