About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to run local routes out of Lansing, MI, hauling freight between our company distribution centers and stores. You'll be home every day, and the freight is no-touch, so your focus stays on driving.
Home time
- Local routes with daily home time
- Full-time, year-round work
- Schedules may include days, nights, weekends and holidays depending on business needs
What you'll haul
- Deliver freight from our company distribution centers to stores on schedule
- Carry vendor backhauls back to distribution centers
- Handle yard switching and trailer moves as part of the job
- Freight is no-touch: loading and unloading are handled for you
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid CDL-A license
- Hazmat endorsement, or able to get one
- One year of truck driving experience, or completion of an accredited CDL training program
- Able to pass a DOT physical, road test and pre-employment drug screen
- No moving violations in the past year, and no more than two in the past three years
- Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed
