CDL-A Truck Driver — Home Daily

Our company is hiring a CDL-A tractor-trailer driver for a home-daily position based in Columbia, MO, supporting FedEx freight movement. You'll need at least a year of tractor-trailer experience and a clean driving record.

Pay

• $60,000 - $75,000 a year

• Home daily

What you'll haul

• Finished goods and raw materials moved between manufacturing plants, retail locations and distribution centers

Responsibilities

• Plan routes and keep delivery schedules on track

• Check your truck for mechanical or safety concerns and handle preventive upkeep

• Record driving hours, rest periods and mileage, and keep fuel and toll receipts

• Enter required data into the company's automated system at each loading and unloading step

• Follow all applicable size, weight, route, parking and break regulations along with company procedures

• Position the truck accurately for loading and unloading

• Confirm delivery details before and after each run

• Notify the company of any defects, accidents or violations

Requirements

• At least one year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience

• Valid CDL-A

• Comfortable using GPS, AVL and CB equipment

• Solid understanding of trucking regulations

• No recent moving violations or driving incidents

• Able to adapt to changing road, traffic and weather conditions
