CDL-A Truck Driver — Home Daily, Average $105,000/Year

Penske Logistics is looking for full-time CDL-A truck drivers to run grocery delivery routes out of South Windsor, CT, with daily home time. You'll haul freezer, cooler and dry grocery freight to a major grocery chain, with dock-to-dock drops across New York City's five boroughs.

Pay

• Drivers average $105,000 a year

• Shift premium incentive worth up to $10,400 a year

• $3,000 annual safety bonus

• $300 premium for drivers working the Friday-through-Monday weekend wrap schedule

• Extra incentive pay available for additional days worked

• Referral bonus up to $5,000 for each driver you bring on

• Paid every Friday

Home time and schedule

• Home daily

• Dispatch falls between 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM

• Choose a Tuesday-to-Saturday or Sunday-to-Thursday rotation

• Five days on, two consecutive days off

• A Friday-through-Monday weekend wrap option is available, which comes with its own $300 premium

What you'll haul

• Grocery freight for a major chain, including freezer, cooler and dry goods

• All stops are dock-to-dock; no pallet breakdown required

• You'll unload freight and stage it in the store's designated area

• You'll drive newer Penske trucks built for driver comfort, fitted with inward- and outward-facing cameras for safety

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL, with a license from your state of residence (must be U.S.-domiciled)

• Able to get or already hold a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card

• At least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years, or 2 years in the past 5

• No more than two moving violations or accidents on your 3-year driving record

• Must be able to read and speak English to meet DOT rules

• Must pass a background check (employment, education, criminal history) and a drug screen

• Regular attendance and the ability to stay alert and work safely are required, since this is a safety-sensitive, DOT-regulated role

• Physically able to see, hear, stand, walk, sit, reach, and regularly lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs), and to safely get in and out of the truck and trailer
