About this job
Our company needs a CDL-A driver to run tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers across both long-haul and local routes. You'll be responsible for securing and moving freight end to end while staying on the right side of safety rules.
Pay
- $2,000 - $4,000 a week
What you'll haul
- A mix of tractor-trailer, flatbed, and tanker loads, including hazmat shipments and freight that requires forklift handling
What the job involves
- Safely running different types of commercial trucks on both OTR and local routes
- Using GPS to map out efficient delivery paths
- Loading and unloading cargo, operating a forklift when the job calls for it
- Staying compliant with FMCSA, DOT, and hazmat rules
- Doing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
- Logging your hours, cargo details, and any incidents accurately
- Staying in touch with dispatch about route conditions and load issues
Requirements
- A valid Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
- At least 2 years behind the wheel professionally
- A driving record free of major issues
- Comfortable communicating in English
