About this job
Our company is looking for an experienced CDL-A driver to haul freight on OTR and regional routes. You'll be responsible for safe, compliant driving and solid customer service from pickup to delivery.
Pay
- $1,200.00 - $2,000.00 per week
What you'll do
- Operate tractor-trailers and other heavy-duty commercial trucks in line with FMCSA and DOT rules
- Plan efficient routes with GPS tools for OTR and regional deliveries
- Load and unload freight by hand, including hazardous materials, using proper securement methods
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections to catch mechanical or safety problems
- Keep accurate logs of hours, cargo manifests, and deliveries per FMCSA rules
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Comfortable driving manual transmission tractor-trailers or similar heavy equipment
- Able to plan routes using GPS navigation
- Experienced with freight handling, including hazardous and dangerous goods
- Solid knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and hazmat regulations
- Physically able to load and unload heavy or bulky freight by hand
