CDL-A Tractor Trailer Driver — $50.80/hr

Our company, a major North American equipment rental company, is looking for a Tractor Trailer Driver based in Chicago, IL to move construction and heavy equipment between branches and customer sites. This role pays $50.80 per hour and involves both commercial and non-commercial vehicle operation.

Pay

• $50.80 per hour

What you'll haul

• Assorted construction and heavy equipment, secured by chaining, strapping and blocking per DOT rules

Responsibilities

• Pick up and drop off equipment at customer sites and branches

• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections on each run

• Keep delivery paperwork current and ready for inspection

• Stay in touch with your branch manager or dispatch about scheduling

• Flag any accidents, equipment damage or delivery delays right away

• Help customers understand safe operation of the equipment when asked

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least 2 years of tractor trailer driving experience in the last 3 years

• Class A CDL with tanker endorsement

• Current DOT medical card

• Hazmat endorsement, to be obtained within 120 days of hire (company assists with this)

• Able to lift 50 lbs regularly and handle physical tasks like bending, climbing and extended standing
