About this job
Our company is hiring a Tractor Trailer Driver in Salt Lake City, UT to haul and deliver construction and heavy equipment to customer job sites. You'll operate both commercial and non-commercial vehicles while keeping safety and customer service front and center.
Pay
- $35.49 an hour
What you'll haul
- Assorted construction and heavy equipment, secured with chains, straps and blocking per DOT requirements
What you'll do
- Pick up and deliver equipment to and from job sites
- Complete pre- and post-trip inspections
- Keep delivery paperwork current and ready for review
- Navigate tight docks, heavy traffic, mountainous terrain and bad weather
- Communicate with your branch manager or dispatch on schedules, delays, accidents or equipment damage
- Answer basic customer questions about safe equipment operation
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of tractor trailer driving experience in the last 3 years
- Class A CDL with tanker endorsement
- Current DOT medical card
- Hazmat endorsement obtained within 120 days of hire (company will assist)
- Able to lift 50 lbs regularly and handle physical tasks like bending, climbing and standing for long periods
