About this job
Our company in Nottingham, PA needs a Class A CDL driver for a full-time tractor trailer role delivering to branch and distributor locations. This is a 2nd shift schedule with a retention bonus available for qualifying drivers.
Pay and bonus
- Eligible for up to a $250.00 retention bonus
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- You must be available between 2PM and 2AM
- Actual start time shifts depending on the route you're assigned that day
- Extra hours may be needed based on business needs
What you'll do
- Haul product to branch and distributor locations
- Hook and unhook trailers
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck and trailer, logging findings in the Samsara tablet
- Keep driver logs and track mileage across state lines per I.C. regulations using the Samsara tablet
- Unload trailers, make pickups, and handle product carefully
- Count and document any changes to unloaded product
- Follow posted safety rules, including speed, idle time and following distance, which are tracked by truck cameras
- Enter and update manufacturing and inventory data in the ERP system, covering production orders, material use, machine hours, labor and quality control, and help coordinate restocking as needed
Requirements
- Class A CDL required
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in wet, humid, very cold or very hot conditions, and occasionally near moving machinery, heights, fumes or airborne particles
- Able to perform basic math (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing) across whole numbers, fractions and decimals
- Must pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and a physical capability screening
- Knowing product codes is a plus but not required
