CDL-A Tanker Driver — Home Daily, $29–$32/hr

Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver in Saint Albans, VT to haul raw milk by tanker trailer between farms, depots and processing plants. You'll be home every day and work a rotating schedule.

What you'll haul

• Raw milk, picked up from farms or depots and delivered to processing plants

• Routes cover a mix of streets, highways and rural access roads, following dispatch directions

The job

• Pull quality control samples and measure milk volume loaded at each farm stop

• Keep idle time down and watch your fuel use

• Handle hoses, climb ladders, and hook/unhook trucks and trailers as part of loading and unloading

• Take apart, clean and reassemble trailer pumps to keep everything at food-grade cleanliness

• Check load numbers, seals and other paperwork to confirm each delivery

• Drive in line with DOT rules and DFA's commercial vehicle and safety policies, and represent the company professionally with customers and inspectors

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL in your state of residence

• Tanker endorsement, or able to get one

• At least 21 years old

• 1+ year of CDL driving experience, or a recent graduate of an FMCSA-approved driving school

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Clean driving record and background check, meeting DOT standards

• Clear English communication, both written and spoken

• Basic math and measurement skills

• Able to work independently

• Knowledge of DOT safety rules
