CDL-A Switcher Driver — $25.22–$27.80/hr, 2nd Shift

Our company is hiring a Switcher Driver to move tractor-trailers, including vans and tankers, around freight yards and loading docks near Prince George, VA. This is an immediate, temp-to-perm opening on 2nd shift.

Pay

• $25.22 - $27.80 per hour

Schedule

• 2nd shift, Monday through Friday 3pm to 11pm, plus Saturday 4pm

• Works between Chester, VA and Hopewell, VA warehouses

What you'll do

• Safely maneuver tractor-trailers and tankers within yard and terminal areas

• Position trailers for loading and unloading

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections

• Log all movements and any incidents

• Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and dispatch

• Shuttle trailers within a 15 mile radius when needed

• Follow FMCSA and DOT safety rules

Requirements

• CDL A required

• 3 years verifiable switcher experience

• 3 years verifiable CDL A local route delivery experience

• 1 year tanker experience preferred, tanker endorsement preferred

• Strong coupling and uncoupling skills

• Clean driving record

• English required
