CDL-A Step Deck OTR Driver — $1,000–$1,500/wk

Our company in Teachey, NC needs a CDL-A driver for OTR step deck (drop deck) runs. You'll haul specialized freight across long distances, handling the cargo securely and keeping every delivery on schedule.

Pay

• $1,000.00 to $1,500.00 per week

What you'll haul

• Step deck (drop deck) trailers, with freight that may include refrigerated loads, flatbeds, tankers, or vehicle transport

• Hazmat and other sensitive cargo when needed, handled per federal rules

What the job involves

• Driving OTR routes through multiple states

• Loading and unloading freight by hand, securing it to FMCSA standards

• Running pre-trip and post-trip checks on your rig, watching for anything hazardous that needs special care

• Planning routes with GPS and staying on top of DOT rules

• Logging your hours, deliveries, and cargo paperwork accurately

• Keeping dispatch and customers updated on schedules or any delays

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A with a clean driving history

• Solid background driving tractor-trailers, particularly step deck or flatbed equipment

• Comfortable with refrigerated, tanker, or hazmat loads a plus

• Good grasp of FMCSA and DOT rules and general safety practices

• Able to navigate using GPS and plan efficient long-haul routes

• Capable of manually loading and securing freight

• Experience driving long distances over varied terrain
