CDL-A Solo OTR Reefer Driver — $0.77–$0.80 per Mile

Our company is looking for experienced CDL-A drivers for solo OTR reefer runs through the Midwest, South, and Southeast. SAP-friendly drivers can apply, pending individual qualification and carrier approval.

Pay

• Starting rate: $0.77–$0.80 per mile, loaded and empty

• Company drivers report average weekly take-home of $2,300–$2,900, though actual pay depends on miles run and deductions

Routes and home time

• Reefer freight moving through the Midwest, South, and Southeast — no West Coast or NYC runs

• Most loads run 1–2 days transit; some live loading/unloading involved

• Expect about 3 weeks on the road, then 3–4 days home

• Carrier says dispatch is non-forced, with dedicated support available 24/7

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• At least 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience

• No more than 2 moving violations or accidents in the last 3 years

• No DUI or DWI in the past 10 years

• SAP program applicants welcome, subject to carrier review and safety clearance to return to driving

Policies

• Riders 18 and older allowed

• Pets allowed with a $250 deposit

• Occupational accident coverage costs $50 per week

• Escrow is typically $2,500 paid over 10 weeks (refundable per agreement terms), or $100 per week for 25 weeks as an alternative; drivers with a clean record may qualify to skip escrow with approval
