CDL-A Rolloff/Tractor Driver — $26.00–$28.00/hr

Our company needs a CDL-A driver to haul scrap metal using tractor-trailers, rolloffs and tow trucks. You'll handle deliveries safely and on schedule while keeping loads secure and your paperwork in order.

Pay

• $26.00-$28.00 per hour

What you'll haul

• Scrap metal and related loads using tractor-trailers, rolloff trucks and tow trucks

• Some government contract work, which requires clearance

What you'll do

• Run pre-trip inspections on your vehicle each time before heading out

• Load and unload cargo correctly, using a forklift when the job calls for it

• Stick to assigned routes and follow all traffic and safety rules

• Keep accurate logs covering pickup times and vehicle upkeep

• Stay in touch with dispatch and your team about delivery status or any road issues

• Drive manual transmission vehicles when required, always with safety as the priority

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A

• Solid background operating tractor-trailers, dump trucks, rolloffs and tow trucks

• Comfortable with loading and unloading procedures

• Able to drive manual transmission

• Clean record: no tickets in the past 3 years, and you must be able to produce an official 3-year driving record

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail for recordkeeping and compliance
