About this job
This is a regional CDL-A dry van driving job based out of the Salt Lake City, Utah area. New CDL graduates and experienced drivers are both welcome, and you are home weekly.
Pay
- Mileage pay starts at $0.55 per mile, plus performance bonus opportunities.
- Typical weekly earnings are $1,300–$1,500, and up to $1,800 per week is possible depending on productivity.
- Expect roughly 1,900–2,200 miles a week.
- You also get $15 stop pay and short-haul pay.
- Trainee pay is $800.
- After your first solo dispatch, pay is guaranteed for 3 months.
Home time and schedule
- Home weekly, though home time can vary by assignment.
- Driving happens on both day and night schedules, and weekends are required.
- Occasional holiday work is possible.
What you'll haul
- Regional dry van freight, mostly along the I-15, I-84, I-90 and I-5 corridors.
- Preloaded and drop-and-hook loads are available.
- Solo and team openings exist, and no extra endorsements are needed.
Requirements
- A valid Class A CDL.
- You must live in the approved Utah or Southern Idaho hiring area, within 250 miles of ZIP code 84120.
- Availability for weekends and for both day and night driving.
- Compliance with applicable DOT and FMCSA rules.
- A reliable, safety-minded approach to the job.
