About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to run dedicated regional freight out of Chicago, delivering for a major non-grocery retail chain. You'll be home most nights, with only an occasional 10-hour reset away.
Pay
- Base rate of $0.75 per mile, which includes $0.10 per mile in performance pay
- $20 per stop
- $35 per pallet jack unload, with extra pay for hand unloads
- $1,500 sign-on bonus plus $500 for completing paid orientation
- Drivers typically run 1,900 to 2,000 miles per week; top earners (top 25%) bring in around $2,000 a week, or about $104,000 a year
Home time
- Home most nights
- Occasional 10-hour resets on the road
What you'll haul
- Dedicated dry van freight for a major non-grocery retailer
- Regional runs across Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana
- Multi-stop deliveries, typically 3 to 4 stops per load
- Touch freight: liftgate trailers and pallet jacks, with occasional hand unloading
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 12 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
- Must live within 50 miles of Chicago, IL
