About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to run regional routes centered on Amazon freight. You'll spend two nights out on the road, then come home for five nights each week, with drop-and-hook loads so you won't touch freight.
Pay
- $22.00 per hour
Home time
- Two nights on the road, five nights at home every week
What you'll haul
- Regional runs moving shipments between distribution centers and delivery points
- Drop-and-hook freight, no loading or unloading required
What you'll do
- Drive safely and stay compliant with DOT rules on regional over-the-road routes
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Keep accurate logs of hours, mileage and delivery paperwork
- Stay in contact with dispatch about route status or problems on the road
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record
- Prior OTR or regional driving experience
- Solid understanding of DOT rules and trucking safety standards
- Comfortable handling a large truck over long distances with close attention to detail
- Good communication with dispatch and the team
- Able to work the two-nights-out, five-nights-home schedule
