CDL-A Regional Relay Truck Driver — Home Daily, Average $78,000/Year

Penske Logistics needs full-time CDL-A drivers for a regional relay route out of Lockport, IL, hauling bread products with no store deliveries required. You'll be home every day.

Pay

• Drivers average $78,000 per year

• Extra day and safety incentive pay available

Home time

• Home daily

• You relay freight in Lincoln, NE, lay over there, and return home the next day

Schedule

• Four-day work week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

• Dispatch time is 5:00 PM

• A 5th and 6th day of work may be available

What you'll haul

• Regional relay route running between Lockport, IL and Lincoln, NE

• Bread products delivered on pre-stacked wheeled dollies for quick roll-off drop and roll-on pickup

• No store deliveries involved

• You'll drive late-model Penske trucks built for driver comfort, fitted with inward and outward-facing cameras

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL, and you must live in the U.S. and be licensed in your state of residence

• Must currently hold, or be able to get, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card

• At least 1 year of verified tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years, or 2 years in the past 5 years

• No more than two moving violations or accidents on your 3-year driving record

• Must be able to read and speak English well enough to meet DOT requirements

• Reliable attendance is required, along with the ability to pass a background check and drug screening and complete Penske's application process

• This is a safety-sensitive, DOT-regulated role, so you need to stay alert and work safely at all times

• Physically, you'll need to see and hear well, move around the truck and cargo area, and regularly lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs)
