About this job
Our company needs a CDL-A driver for a dedicated regional run out of Matteson, IL. You'll work weekday regional freight and be home every day, with a weekend local Chicago-area option if you want extra miles. This is a 1099 contractor position, not an OTR job.
Schedule and routes
- Monday through Friday regional driving, no over-the-road trips
- Home daily
- Optional local work in the Chicago area on weekends, never required
- Steady, consistent freight on a dedicated truck based in Matteson, IL
Pay
- Structured as 50% of the truck's gross revenue, with you covering 50% of fuel costs
- Typical take-home runs about $1,350 to $1,650 a week, with a stated range of $1,300.00 to $1,650.00 per week
- Picking up weekend work gives you a chance to earn above that range
- Orientation and road evaluation are paid
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Clean, safe driving history that satisfies carrier and insurance standards
- Reliable, on-time, and comfortable working without close supervision
- Regional driving background is a plus
- Expected to keep your assigned truck well maintained
- Best fit for drivers based in Chicago, the south suburbs, or close enough to reliably get to the truck in Matteson, Illinois
