About this job

Our company is looking for owner-operators with their own 18-wheeler sleeper truck and Class A CDL to run OTR drop-and-hook freight. You keep control of your truck, your schedule and your pay structure under a 1099 independent contractor setup.

Pay

The posting gives two different weekly figures: one section states weekly gross of $8,000 - $14,000, while the listed pay range is $3,100.00 - $4,500.00 per week. Rate per mile runs $3.20 - $3.84, with 3,000 - 4,000+ miles per week possible. You keep 88% of every linehaul dollar and 100% of the fuel surcharge, with a flat 12% dispatch fee and no hidden deductions. Stated annual potential is $200,000 - $240,000+. Settlements are paid every Friday by direct deposit, and weekly statements are itemized so you can see exactly where your money goes.

What you'll haul

All freight is drop-and-hook using pre-loaded 53 ft dry van trailers, so you are not touching freight or waiting on docks or lumpers. Loads typically run under 20,000 lbs and come straight from shippers rather than through brokers, cutting out delay. Freight is available every day of the year across all 48 states.

Home time

This is an OTR position. You decide your own pace - run 7 days and take time off, or push 14 days straight for higher earnings. No load is assigned without your agreement, and routing and home time are built around your preferences.

Support and perks

You get a dedicated dispatcher who knows your truck and how you like to run, plus live support around the clock. Other provided perks include a fuel card with nationwide discounts, covered plates and permits, no trailer rental charges, discounted tires and maintenance, an escrow account to help with repairs, and a cash referral bonus for qualified drivers you bring on. Additional listed benefits include a passenger ride-along program, a pet rider program, and provided safety equipment.

Requirements

Truck: must be an 18-wheeler semi sleeper - no box trucks, cargo vans, day cabs or sprinter vans accepted. It needs to be a 2003 model year or newer, pass a DOT Level 1 Inspection, and carry active cargo and liability insurance.

Driver: valid Class A CDL with no disqualifying restrictions, at least 6 months of verifiable OTR tractor-trailer experience, 21 or older, current DOT medical card, clean MVR with no major violations in the past 3 years, no drug or alcohol violations in the past 10 years, ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, and authorization to work in the United States.

The hiring carrier's name is shared with you once you apply through the DriverRoll app, where you can message them directly.
