About this job
Our company is looking for CDL-A drivers to fill openings across several position types, from brand-new trainees to experienced OTR haulers. Where you land depends on your ZIP code, your experience level, and the home time you want.
Positions and pay
- Trainee: under 3 months of Class A experience, no prior driving required, paid training, pay around $700 weekly
- Local: at least 3 months of experience, home daily, steady local routes, pay around $1,400 weekly
- Regional: at least 4 months of experience, home every few days or weekly depending on the account, pay around $1,800 weekly
- OTR dedicated: at least 6 months of experience, dedicated freight with steady routes, more demanding time away from home, pay around $2,300 weekly
- OTR USPS: at least 2 years of experience, USPS contract freight on year-round routes, pay around $2,300 weekly
Actual placement and home-time details depend on your location, experience, and the account you're assigned to. Local and regional slots vary by area, while OTR roles are open across most of the country.
What you'll haul
Freight is mostly drop-and-hook under USPS and other dedicated contracts, with routes running all year and little hands-on loading or unloading.
Where you'll run
Routes are mainly east of I-35, covering the Midwest, South, and Southeast. No West Coast runs, and no New York City.
Equipment
Trucks are 2022 to 2026 models, kept in good condition, and assigned based on your account and what's available.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL, or about to earn one for trainee roles
- Experience minimums vary by position: none for trainee, 3 months for local, 4 months for regional, 6 months for OTR dedicated, and 2 years for OTR USPS
The hiring carrier's name is shared with you once you apply through the DriverRoll app, where you can message them directly.
