About this job
Our company is looking for a seasoned Class A driver to run OTR out of the Baltimore, MD area. You'll keep freight moving steadily between plants and distribution centers in this full-time role.
Pay
- Starting at $0.54 per mile
What you'll do
- Transport raw materials and finished products among manufacturing sites, retail locations, and distribution hubs
- Inspect your rig for safety or mechanical problems and stay on top of routine upkeep
- Map out your own route and hit your delivery windows
- Track hours of service, mileage, fuel purchases, and toll costs
- Complete the required system entries while loading and unloading
- Stick to weight limits, parking regulations, break requirements, and company guidelines
- Back the truck in for loading and unloading, verify shipment details, and flag any equipment issues, incidents, or violations
Requirements
- Previous experience behind the wheel of a commercial truck
- Able to work with GPS, AVL systems, CB radios, and related tools
- Solid grasp of the rules governing commercial driving
- A driving record free of recent issues
- Current commercial driver's license
